I’m currently staying at the InterContinental Samui (ocean horizon suite 628) and honestly, this resort is underrated. It’s among the finest properties I've visited. The views are stunning, especially from the adults-only pool perched on the hillside, offering a panorama of the shining sea and vibrant, forested island landscape. The resort's layout is ideal—diverse yet not overly spread out—with a reliable buggy service making it easy to get around. Several small pools near the villas offer privacy and seclusion, and the beach pool boasts excellent bar service. For true relaxation, I highly recommend booking Club access. It made our stay seamless, with tasty lunch options, afternoon tea, and a great cocktail and canapé selection in the evening. We also stayed at the Ritz-Carlton on this trip (see my other review), but for me, that property felt too disjointed and tricky to navigate. The InterContinental offers a smooth flow between areas like the sunset bar, reception, and restaurants, creating a sense of connection and ease. Yes, it's farther from the action of Chaweng, but honestly, you won’t need to go there often. The hotel provides a free shuttle service, so it never felt inconvenient. The rooms are very comfortable, spacious, and practical. My only critique is that the rooms could use a refresh due to their age, though they remain luxurious, well-styled, and impeccably clean. Overall, this has been the ultimate relaxing getaway, with outstanding service and a marvelous setting. I wholeheartedly recommend it!
