3 Days Sailing Through Komodo Islands: A Journey into Nature’s Wildest Wonders

I recently spent 3 unforgettable days and 2 nights sailing around the stunning Komodo Islands, home to pristine landscapes, crystal-clear waters and the iconic Komodo dragons. Here’s my itinerary and some tips to help you make the most of your trip! #holidayvacation #adventure #sailingparadise

🤿 We began the journey at Kanawa Island, where the calm waters and vibrant marine life made it the perfect spot for some morning snorkelling. The beach here is pristine and the underwater scenery was teeming with colourful fish. After lunch, we headed to Komodo Island - home to the world’s largest lizard, the Komodo dragon! Walking with a guide through the national park was thrilling and seeing these ancient creatures in their nature habitat was unforgettable. Pro Tip: wear lightweight clothing and pack a camara with a good zoom lens for those dragon shots! #snorkeling #holidayvacation #komododragons

⛰️ The second day started with a challenging but rewarding hike up Padar Island. The panoramic view of its iconic three-coloured beaches is a must-see! The trek is shot but steep, so good shoes are essential. After the hike, we sailed to Pink Beach, where the sand has a unique rosy hue. #hiking

Tip: Start the Padar hike early in the morning to avoid the heat and crowds.

🐠 On the final day, we sailed to Manta Point, where we had the incredible experience of snorkelling with majestic manta rays. We wrapped up the trip with a stop at Taka Makassar, a tiny sandbar surrounded bu turquoise waters. #beachlife

Travel Tips:
- Best time to visit: April to June or September to November for fewer crowds and ideal weather.
- Boat tours: Choose a reputable operator that includes national park fees and provides good quality snorkelling gear.
- Safety: Always follow your guide’s instructions, especially near the Komodo dragons, and stay hydrated during the hike.

The journey was the perfect blend of adventure and relaxation, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a unique escape into Indonesia’s stunning natural landscape!
