The White Swans of Korla, Xinjiang

As soon as I landed in Korla, I heard great news 🎉 The White Swan troupe is back for the winter! As a big fan of swans, I immediately got so excited I was jumping up and down, dragging my suitcase and rushing to the legendary "Cat's Faraway" hotel 🏃‍♀️

I thought I could have a romantic date with the little swan babies at Swan Lake 💕 but when I got there, I found... "Where are the swans?!" 😭 Later I learned that this year all these cuties went to vacation at Dujuan River!

I even made two trips to Dujuan River just to chase the swans!
📍Dujuan River address: Nanshi District, Korla City (just search "Dujuan River Wetland Park" on your map)
🕰Opening hours: Open all day (recommended to go early morning or evening when the swans are most active)
🚗Transportation: Taxi or self-driving recommended, parking nearby is very convenient

The moment I saw them was truly healing ✨ Their pure white feathers shimmered in the sunlight, sometimes dancing gracefully 💃 sometimes gliding elegantly on the water, and occasionally making the cute "goose goose goose" sounds～

Photography tips 📸:
1. Telephoto lens is a must! 300mm or above is best
2. Wearing light-colored clothes helps you stand out in photos
3. Feeding time is from 8:00-10:00 AM, perfect for capturing lots of group shots of the swans

Rabbit’s warm tips 💡:
1. December to February is the best viewing period
2. Remember to bring gloves and scarves, it’s super cold by the river ❄️
3. Watch the swans respectfully, don’t feed them artificial food.
The autumn at Dujuan River Park is also unbelievably beautiful, I spent four hours checking in and taking photos.
