Went to Kota Kinabalu to see one of the world's top three sunsets

It was my first time in Malaysia, and I chose to visit Kota Kinabalu for its renowned sunsets!

I stayed at the Shangri-La Tanjung Aru for three nights, and the sunsets were stunning every day! Even though it was a bit cloudy and rainy on the last night, it didn't diminish the beauty at all!

If you're going to Kota Kinabalu for the sunsets, I recommend staying at the Shangri-La. It's very convenient as you can just step outside to see the sunset. It's also close by if you take a taxi.

If you don't want to stay at the Shangri-La, you can book a spot at the hotel's sunset bar to watch the sunset. They are very strict about entry now, and the staff at the entrance check thoroughly. Every time you take a taxi there, they will check your room card, so it's best to make a reservation to ensure you can get in.
