Monocolo Boutique Hotel in Kota Kinabalu

Although the hotel is located a bit far from the city center, taking a Grab ride to downtown costs around 8 MYR (depending on demand) and takes approximately 10 minutes, making it relatively convenient!
The cleanliness of the rooms is quite good, with no unpleasant odors. Overall, the accommodations are decent and comfortable. The bathroom provides a 2-in-1 shampoo and body wash product, so if you prefer using your own shampoo or conditioner, it’s recommended to bring them along.
The soundproofing is acceptable; you won’t feel disturbed inside the room. However, you might hear some voices if people are talking in the hallway.
The lobby is beautifully designed and features an attached café. The hotel even provides discount vouchers for the café upon check-in, which is a thoughtful touch. Additionally, free beverages are offered in the lobby daily, adding a nice gesture of hospitality!
Moreover, according to a Grab driver, there’s a famous restaurant right across from the hotel (likely Kuo Man Restaurant). Unfortunately, we only learned about it the day before leaving, so we didn’t get a chance to try it.
