The Magellan Sutera Resort is a 5-star beachfront resort in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, sitting within the expansive Sutera Harbour Resort complex. It has 456 rooms and suites, many of which offer views over manicured gardens or out to the South China Sea. My Impression
Staying at The Magellan Sutera feels like a balanced escape: luxury without being overwhelmingly formal, comfort without losing the sense of place. I loved waking up to sea views from the balcony, taking afternoon walks among the landscaped gardens, then cooling off in the pool or stepping onto the private beach at sunset. The food options gave both variety and local flavor, and using the “Magellan Club” lounge added a layer of pampering. It’s a place where every detail – from architecture and design to service and amenities – comes together so you can truly relax while still feeling you’re somewhere special.
