When you turn left at Nakano-in from Okuno-in, the Hall of Heroes appears before you.

It was built to commemorate those who died in World War II.

Actually, when I visited once during the day, I thought it was a shame that the flowers had already fallen, so I didn't remember it very well.

So I tried to pass by normally in the morning, but...

I was moved by the sight of it quietly standing in the morning mist.

I wonder if this is what the Japanese beauty of wabi-sabi is all about.

For some reason, I'm more attracted to this fleeting feeling than to gorgeous scenery.
