Tiger Cave Temple, Krabi Province

Wat Tham Suea is a meditation retreat of Phra Ajarn Chamnian Silasettho, a famous meditation master. The temple grounds cover an area of approximately 200 rai, consisting of a forest garden that is hundreds of years old. The atmosphere is shady because it is surrounded by valleys, cliffs, and natural caves. Some caves near the temple grounds can also be used as a center for meditation for monks and male and female devotees.

Important things in Wat Tham Suea include the Luang Pu Thuat Shrine, the large bell-shaped pagoda, and the large Guan Yin statue, which is over 5 meters high, enshrined in the temple grounds.

In addition, for those who have time and good legs, you can climb the 1,237 steps with a slope of approximately 45-60 degrees to reach the top of Khao Kaew, where a replica of the Buddha's footprint is enshrined. And also get to breathe fresh air on the mountaintop, along with a full 360-degree view of Krabi province.

Wat Tham Suea is about 9 kilometers away from Krabi town, located in Ban Tham Suea, Tambon Krabi Noi, Amphoe Mueang, Krabi Province. It is considered another tourist attraction that should not be missed when visiting Krabi.
