Hotel stay at Hilton Garden Inn KL South

There are two HGI in Kuala Lumpur and they are just steps away from one another. The fact that they are classified as two different properties makes it even more attractive if you want to clock stays. I went for the South property since it is cheaper and I had better reviews.

Despite checking in early, I had to wait for my room to be ready at 3pm. We were upgraded to a high floor with KLCC views, since I had status with Hilton.

Bathroom amenities from Peter Homas Roth. Room was quite spacious. Queen bed only. The location of the hotel was good, easily accessible to Chow Kit station, local market and food stores around. You can also take a Grab from the airport to the hotel for around RM75 for the hour-long ride.

The area is safe and it is one of the cheaper Hilton areas in the area. For more premium brands, you can choose Doubletree Hilton.

To access the pool, the south hotel doesn’t have a pool so we had to walk over to the north side and take the lift up to 17th floor.

Breakfast: buffet included. The spread was good, the food is all halal, includes both american and continental options. However there was no live cooking station, everything is prepared in the main kitchen.
