Merdeka Square (Independence Monument)

Merdeka Square, one of the important landmarks of Malaysia, is an important historical site that commemorates the declaration of independence from the United Kingdom (England).

🇲🇾 Highlights: The 95-meter-high flagpole is the tallest flagpole in the world. After regaining independence from the British, this flagpole was the first to change the British flag to the Malaysian flag.

🚅 Travel: Take the BTS from KL Sentral
and get off at Masjid Jamek Station. Travel
for about 10 minutes and walk for about
600 meters.
