All the seafood in the mixed seafood rice noodles is of excellent quality—the clams, though thin-shelled, have large, plump, and juicy meat; the sotong (squid) is very tender; the fish slices are firm yet still soft; the prawns are impressively large, with a solid, non-mealy texture; and the crab is surprisingly fresh and quite easy to eat. Plus, the portion size is generous overall, making it a very satisfying meal.
The shrimp paste fried fish slices are not only exceptionally plump and tender in texture, but the shrimp paste seasoning is also fragrant, and the outer coating is fried to a perfect crisp.
The fried soft-shell crab is also top-notch in quality. Though small in size, it’s meaty and succulent, offering both the unique flavor of the soft-shell crab legs and the tender, moist texture of the body, without even a hint of fishiness. On top of that, the base flavor from the turmeric marinade adds an interesting twist.
Overall, the seasoning and freshness of all the seafood are above standard.
