Hello everyone, today I’ll take you on a review of traveling in Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia, with an easy, chill, budget-friendly, and not tiring self-guided trip because the itinerary is not packed.
Day 1
On the first day, we arrived in Kuala Lumpur in the morning but couldn’t check in to the hotel yet.
So, we left our bags at the hotel first, then went to check in at the landmark spots.
📍Petronas Towers or Twin Towers, the outstanding and beautiful twin towers in the city center. There’s Suria KLCC mall for shopping and finding food to cool down downstairs, and KLCC Park behind it for a leisurely walk to enjoy the view and the fountain.
📍Saloma Link Bridge, a stunning modern bridge with the twin towers in the background. It’s another landmark that looks great in photos and is just a 10-15 minute walk from Petronas Towers.
📍In the afternoon, we returned to check in and rest at a hotel in the popular Bukit Bintang area because it’s convenient and has many restaurants and a wide range of hotels at various prices.
📍Stopped by Best Ah Ma Cafe, a famous spot, to have traditional Malaysian-style coffee with toasted bread.
📍In the evening, we walked out to find dinner at the Jalan Alor night market, which offers a variety of international foods and a lively atmosphere.
Day 2
Started the second day a bit early because we had to take a train out of the city for about an hour.
📍Batu Caves Temple, located about 13 kilometers north of Kuala Lumpur city center.
You can travel there by train from KL Sentral station in about 45 minutes.
If you’re in a group and want convenience, you can also use Taxi or Grab services, which are not expensive.
This is one of Malaysia’s highlight tourist spots, with many tourists, monkeys, birds, and very beautiful photo opportunities.
📍Back in the city, continue the food tour with delicious dry Bak Kut Teh and famous Nasi Lemak. Eat to your heart’s content before heading back to Thailand!
