The place is Pokok @ Lalaport, a gorgeous glasshouse-style café that brings a garden vibe right into the city. With its high glass walls, natural light, and greenery-inspired décor, the space feels airy and refreshing—perfect for brunch or a lazy afternoon catch-up.
I stopped by for dessert and tried their matcha cake, which turned out to be the highlight of my visit. The cake was moist with a balanced sweetness, allowing the earthy bitterness of matcha to shine through. It wasn’t overly heavy, making it perfect with a cup of coffee or tea. The presentation was elegant yet simple, which matched the café’s natural, minimalist vibe. Sitting by the tall glass windows with sunlight streaming in while enjoying that slice of matcha cake was easily the most relaxing part of my day.
