π BookXcess @ REXKL Review
I visited BookXcess inside REXKL in Kuala Lumpur πβ¨ This bookstore is housed in a renovated, abandoned theater. The vintage vibe of the building and the smell of books blended beautifully. The tiered bookshelves were a sight to behold, and it felt like I was immersed in a sea of ββbooks. I was instantly amazed when I walked in. π
The selection of books was incredibly diverse. They were categorized into art books, novels, self-help books, and children's books, and the fact that they were mostly English made browsing fun. Many books were also cheaper than the regular price, making it easy to grab a book or two. πΈ The design and interior design books in particular were visually appealing and made for great gifts.
The unique space attracted many photographers, and there were definitely plenty of great photo opportunities. πΈ However, weekends tend to be crowded, so if you want to browse quietly, I recommend visiting on a weekday or during a quieter time.
There are plenty of seating areas to sit and read, making it a great place to stop by and relax. ποΈ The dim lighting created a calming atmosphere, and the view from the upper floors was quite spectacular.
ππ» Overall, BookXcess Rex KL offers an experience that's "more than just a bookstore." Even if you're not a book lover, the charming space itself makes it a must-visit during your KL trip. ππ»βοΈ
