I visited BookXcess inside REXKL in Kuala Lumpur 📚✨ Perhaps because it's a converted old theater, the bookstore had a unique atmosphere. The high ceilings and maze-like layout made it fun to just wander among the books, and there were plenty of photo opportunities everywhere, so I understand why it's so popular with travelers. 📸

The selection of books ranged from novels, self-help books, art books, and children's books. The discounts were substantial, so I was able to find them for less than I expected. 💸 I felt like I'd made a fortune, finding even expensive original books at other bookstores at quite reasonable prices. It's a great place for English books, especially.

The bookstore has plenty of seating and reading areas, so it was nice to leisurely browse and pick out a book that caught my eye. The atmosphere was so hip, it felt more like a cultural space than just a place to buy books. 🙆🏻♀️

Only a downside is that it's so crowded on weekends that it's hard to find quiet time to read. Because it's a popular Instagram hotspot, it's often bustling with visitors. If you want to read quietly, I recommend weekday afternoons 👍🏻
