🛄ㅣA lake that appears at the end of a quiet forest path
Grindjisee is the second lake on the Five Lakes hiking route that begins in Blauherd, nestled quietly in the lush forest. Along the path, wildflowers bloom, and the breeze rustles across the dirt path, bringing a faint scent of pine trees. It was so quiet that the sounds of birdsong and the wind were louder than the sound of footsteps. And as the sparkling blue hues began to appear between the trees, Grindjisee suddenly appeared before my eyes.

🌿 A perfect frame created by the forest and the Matterhorn
The greatest charm of Grindjisee lies in the unique sight of the Matterhorn reflected in the gaps in the forest. The waters of the lake were calm and clear, like glass. Even on overcast days, the silhouette of the mountains was clearly visible, and shadows on the water slowly moved as the clouds drifted by. While other lakes were open spaces, Grinssee felt like a secret garden, embraced by nature.

🏔️ Peace that makes you forget the passage of time
Sitting by the lake's edge and gazing at the waves, time seemed to stand still. When the wind blew, gentle ripples formed on the surface, and the Matterhorn danced within them. The surrounding area was lined with shaded trees, making it a great place to rest and perfect photo spots. While Stellisee exuded a sense of majesty, Grinssee was a lake of quiet, whispering peace.

✅️ | Travel Tips
1️⃣ The best route is Zermatt → Sunnegga → Blauherd, then walk along the 5-Seenweg trail (around 30-11 PM). Sunlight filters through the forest, creating a clear reflection on the water.
3️⃣ Photo Spot – Looking from the northern edge of the lake, the Matterhorn is reflected vertically through the forest, creating the most stable composition.
4️⃣ What to Bring – A tripod and comfortable shoes. It's a bit humid in the forest, so waterproof shoes are recommended.
