Raia Hotel & Convention Centre Kuching

Rooms are exceptional — well-designed and cozy, with a touch of fine furniture and smart room features. The toilet is modern and clean. The view from the room is spectacular at night — gazing at planes taking off and land. Super friendly, approachable and accommodating hotel receptionist and staffs — smiles and greetings are reciprocated. The men pool, however, is quite small, and the changing room is spooky, with empty unused rooms across the hall.

The location however is a downside. Not quite in the heart of the city, with limited walkable activities; restaurants, cafes, bars, shopping complex can only be reached by taxis or e-hailing — but when you have an early flight to catch, the hotel, somehow, can be very strategic.
