Bako National Park is nestled in Kuching District, Sarawak, Malaysia. It's 22 km away from Kuching town centre and roughly 30 min driving.
Bako National Park is a tourist hotspot and also a gem for nature enthusiasts. Our 2D1N National Park tour was truly an awesome and adventurous experience! We have been staying in the park's rustic lodge and spent most of the time to explore the park.
This oldest and beautiful park contains almost all variety of Bornean vegetation & abundant wildlife, it offers a stunning array of biodiversity, from lush rainforests to mangrove swamps, jungle streams, waterfalls and pristine beaches. The park is home to a variety of wildlife, including the rare Proboscis monkeys, Malayan colugo, Bearded pigs, Silvered leaf monkeys and an array of bird species, making it a heaven for wildlife spotting. Moreover, the well-marked trails caters to all levels of hikers. Each trail reveals unique landscapes, from dramatic cliff faces and secluded beaches to dense jungle paths. The Telok Pandan Kecil trail, leading to a secluded beach with breathtaking rock formations. One must not miss the chance to spot and sight the iconic Proboscis Monkey while jungle trekking.

šŸ…¾ Operating hours: Monday to Sunday including Public Holidays,
ā–¶Bako Terminal Jetty Counter: 8am to 5pm.
ā–¶Customer Service Counter: 8am to 5pm.
Getting there: When you arrive at the Bako Jetty Terminal, you have to register and pay your entrance + boat ticket. This 20-minutes boat ride (RM40 per person for a return trip) will lead you to the National Park.
