Introducing Lin'an

Lin'an District, a district under the jurisdiction of Hangzhou, is located in the western part of the city in Zhejiang Province. It has been recognized as a national ecological city, an excellent tourist city in China, Hangzhou's back garden, and a green Silicon Valley. The area boasts scenic attractions such as the Grand Canyon of Western Zhejiang, Daming Mountain, Tianmu Mountain, the source of Taihu Lake, Qingshan Lake, and Baishuijian.

Daming Mountain Scenic Area

Located at the junction of Anhui and Zhejiang, the scenic area boasts the unique peaks and rocks of Huangshan Mountain and the stunning scenery of western Zhejiang. The scenic area offers breathtaking scenery year-round, offering spring outings, summer escapes, and winter skiing. Trekking through a 10,000-meter-high cave, walking along a suspended plank road, and descending the mountain on a dry slide are all delightful experiences. Of the three alpine meadows in Daming Mountain, the Thousand Acres Meadow is the most renowned. Due to its vastness and smooth surface, it was chosen by Zhu Yuanzhang as his base. Longmen Gorge, the starting point for the climb, is also the most unique of the Daming Mountain canyons. Above two thousand meters, a wealth of natural scenery and cultural heritage awaits.

Tianmu Mountain (West Tianmu)

Tianmu Mountain is divided into East Tianmu and West Tianmu, with West Tianmu commonly referring to. Renowned for its "large trees whose canopies are known throughout the land," it is a designated Man and Biosphere Reserve and is known as "Jiangnan's Strange Mountains," "Natural Botanical Garden," "Forest Park," and "Kingdom of Large Trees." With its four streams, five pools, six caves, seven streams, eight terraces, nine pools, twelve rocks, twenty-seven stones, and twenty-eight peaks, it has been a renowned religious mountain and tourist destination since ancient times. The Tianmu Stone Valley Scenic Area boasts "five bests" rarely seen in the world, earning it the title of China's No. 1 Stone Valley: the longest valley, the most boulders, the largest stones, the most unusual shapes, and the richest water resources.

Taihu Source (Little Jiuzhaigou) Scenic Area

Located at the southern foot of Mushan Mountain in Lin'an, Hangzhou, this scenic area is home to the main source of Taihu Lake, hence the name Taihu Source. Within the scenic area, you'll find a diverse array of wild plants and animals, including black muntjacs and macaques, among other nationally protected species. With an average annual temperature of around 20°C, it offers an ideal summer retreat.
