Suizenji Joju-en Garden, located in downtown Kumamoto, is an exquisite and tranquil Japanese garden. Featuring ponds, bridges, lawns, and neatly manicured trees, the garden offers a unique charm in each season: cherry blossoms in spring, lush greenery in summer, vibrant maple leaves in autumn, and the refreshing beauty of withered trees in winter. I visited once in summer and once in winter. Although small, the garden boasts distinct layers of landscape, and the winding paths offer breathtaking views from various angles, creating captivating photos. Conveniently located, it's a perfect stopover during a half-day or short layover in Kumamoto City to experience the tranquil beauty of a Japanese garden.
