I found another Lonely Planet in Kunming

I've always longed for the fantastical garden of Yunnan, built in 1996, where the artist has been creating for over 20 years before it was opened to the public!
It's a breathtaking sight at first glance!
You definitely can't miss this super niche and unpopular garden when you come to Yunnan!

In my mind, only Gaudí's art museum is like this, filled with boundless imagination and creativity.
The exterior of the museum is a series of giant ant nest forts, built entirely without steel or nails, using over 3 million Yunnan red clay bricks.

The interior is a fortress created by stone pillars, domed ceilings, and granite. When I first entered the museum, the sunlight just happened to shine through the hole at the top into the hall, and all the artworks were bathed in a warm red glow.
The owner and artist, Luo Xu, also known as 'Yunnan's Gaudí', understanding his artistic story and legendary life is truly touching, and each piece of work is worth pausing and reflecting upon; Yunnan's famous Maitreya Eastern Charm and Ant Workshop are his representative works.
The yard also has a large area of colorful flower seas, with garden corridors where you can rest and drink tea.
