UNESCO introduced “Since the 12th century, the town has become a socio-economic center. Until now, it still retains its original appearance, providing important data for research on ancient riverside towns“. The famous TV channel CNN Travel also evaluated “Built in 1086, Zhouzhuang is located among the canals, lanterns lit at night, as a romantic reminder of the old years of China“.
Zhouzhuang ancient town is 85 km from Shanghai, 53 km from Suzhou and 176 km from Hangzhou. Tourists can easily come to Zhouzhuang on a trip to the Jiangnan river region, which has been famous for hundreds of years in legend.
