At just 100 yen each, these sweet treats are easy on the wallet.
These Kurashiki specialty "Ebisu Manju" are just the right size and portion for snacking on the go.
The slightly crunchy bits that stick out are a lovely touch.
It's interesting how they're called different names depending on the region!
Some regions call them by the manufacturer's name, while others call them "kaitenyaki" (rolled skewers)!
This shop is called "Ebisu Manju."
They not only sell manju, but also "anko-only" (sweet bean paste).
The husband and wife who run the shop are kind and helpful.
I visited Okayama in October using the "JR 150th Anniversary Autumn All-Line Pass."
The name of the "Souinkyo" (a man sitting on a bun) that appears at a festival is also a good one. "What's the name of that festival?" " I asked, and this is what they told me 😊
