Tongzhou Lake Scenic Area is located in Dali County, Weinan City, Shaanxi Province. Tongzhou Lake Scenic Area is centered on Tongzhou Lake, extending to Guanchi Science and Technology Industrial Park in the south, Fengyi Road in the county seat in the north, Tongzhou Lake West Road Leisure Landscape Avenue in the west, and Luo River in the east. The planned area of the scenic area is 4 square kilometers.
The core area of Tongzhou Lake covers approximately 2,000 mu (approximately 1,000 mu), with a water surface area of 1,000 mu. The scenic area includes the Tongzhou Lake West Road Leisure Scenic Boulevard, the Country Garden Tongzhou Lake Garden Villas project, an Urban and Rural Planning Exhibition Hall, a five-star visitor service center, the Guanzhong Folk Museum, and a convenient municipal hall. The scenic area is being developed as a national 4A-level scenic spot.
To provide maximum convenience for residents to relax and enjoy the scenery, three distinctive and user-friendly paths have been established in the core area of Tongzhou Lake. One is a battery-powered bicycle path for visitors to explore the lake; one is a 10-kilometer bicycle track around the lake, combining tourism and fitness; and one is a pedestrian path for leisurely strolls. Each of these paths has its own unique characteristics and styles, allowing visitors to fully enjoy the beauty of Tongzhou Lake.
The warm temperate continental monsoon climate has four distinct seasons and abundant sunshine, making it suitable for travel in all seasons.
The Tongzhou Lake Scenic Area features a stylish large-scale musical fountain; a waterfront platform for residents to enjoy the lake views; and four ecological parking lots partitioned by trees, accommodating 1,200 vehicles. Other attractions include the Woyun Pavilion, Qingxin Pavilion, a basketball court, the Seventeen-Arch Cultural Pier, the North and South Piers, the Baihua Poetry Gallery, a colorful painted boat, bicycle stations, an open-air swimming pool, and eco-restrooms. The core area of Tongzhou Lake boasts over a hundred scenic spots, each showcasing the unique charm of beautiful Tongzhou.
Wander along the shores of Tongzhou Lake, enjoying the emerald waters, a flying bridge, a clear sky, a red gate, a sky wheel, and pavilions on the water, and revel in this beautiful painting of harmonious coexistence between man and nature. Looking out, the majestic Red Gate of China stands tall, the thousand-acre lake ripples with emerald green, the Tongzhou Bridge lies like a rainbow on the waves, the stylish steel structure resembles a dot of white sails, colorful pleasure boats with mandarin ducks playing in the water, bright red streetlights greet guests, and the colorful neon lights adorn Tongzhou Lake with extraordinary charm. It evokes the morning shadows of Jiangnan water towns, the dusk of the fairyland of Yaochi, the reflections of the sky and the nostalgia of lush greenery. Immersed in this scene, the scenery changes with every step, and the mind is relaxed and happy. It is not Jiangnan, but better than Jiangnan.
