🇯🇵黑川温泉 KUROKAWA ONSEN YU AKARI ILLUMINATION

During our February trip to Kyushu, Japan, we stayed overnight in famous hot spring village, Kurokawa Onsen.

We enjoyed the stunning winter illuminations at Kurokawa Onsen, known as the Yuakari.

The Yu Akari, illuminated by hundreds of handmade, eco-friendly bamboo lanterns, creates a warm and nostalgic atmosphere along the riverbank.

The event typically runs from late December to late March each year.

A night in Kurokawa Onsen is definitely worth it.
