Senchan Shokudo, Kushiro Fishing Port in Hokkaido, Fresh, Delicious, and Affordable

Senchan Shokudo, located at the Kushiro Fishing Port in Hokkaido, was originally a cafeteria for maritime workers but is now open to the public. You can enjoy fresh seafood on-site or take home frozen seafood, which is both fresh and affordable.

The menu prices are incredibly cheap. A whole grilled fish set meal is only ¥1320, and even the most expensive special seafood bowl with ten kinds of sashimi is just ¥2300. The fresh catch of the day from the port is truly fresh and delicious.

Since Kushiro Fishing Port is not a tourist fish market, there aren't many tourists, and most of the diners are locals. The take-out fresh seafood section also has many great items, such as huge octopus legs and scallops, which are very tempting! Unfortunately, the accommodation I stayed at did not have cooking facilities, so I had to make do with eating more sashimi.
