[Kushiro Marsh (Hokkaido)]
The Kushiro Marsh is the largest wetland in Japan, and was the first to be designated a Ramsar site in 1980.
The Kushiro River flows through the Kushiro Marsh, which boasts an area of approximately 28,000 hectares, and in autumn you can see the magnificent golden marsh and Kushiro River as shown in the photo.
