Kwun Tong Promenade is located beside the Kwun Tong Bypass in Kowloon and is part of the Kai Tak Development Project. Stretching about 1 kilometer and open 24 hours, it is a rising star for waterfront exploration in Hong Kong. The promenade was formerly the Kwun Tong Public Cargo Working Area, covering a total area of 4.13 hectares, designed with the concept of "bringing nature into the city." The wooden boardwalk extends along Victoria Harbour, with more than half of the area dedicated to greenery, complemented by mist fountains and a music and light plaza. At night, visitors can enjoy stunning views of the eastern Hong Kong Island skyline and Lei Yue Mun, attracting fishing enthusiasts and leisurely strollers.
The promenade’s performance venue can accommodate 200 people, suitable for small outdoor events, while the adjacent children's playground adds family fun. It is within walking distance to the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal and Runway Park, offering a blend of old and new landmarks in East Kowloon. Nearby, the Kwun Tong town center features Hong Kong-style snacks and local shops, continuing the community’s lively atmosphere. Kwun Tong Promenade combines industrial heritage, waterfront scenery, and a relaxing vibe, inviting travelers to escape typical tourist spots and delve into Hong Kong’s urban transformation and Victoria Harbour charm.
