#ShareTravelBudget 🏂🗻 Review of learning to snowboard in Niseko, the first time in my life! With a magnificent view of Mt. Yotei, and share the expenses
For those who are interested in learning to snowboard in Japan, let me share my first-hand experience from the two of us who just recently took a Beginner class at Grand Hirafu, Niseko 👇
.
🕘 Join a full-day Group Class for 5.5 hours (10:00-15:30, including a 1-hour lunch break)
The class we took had 4 people, so we took turns, so we had some breaks to sit and relax and catch our breath, lol
👨🏫 The teacher I got was Matt, an Australian teacher who taught in English (it was like taking a snowboard class + an English class in one 😂)
Matt explained very well, made comparisons easy to understand, and helped correct each person's posture.
At first, I was confused by the words heel and hill because I felt dizzy when I heard them quickly. 555
🎿 The area where I studied was very good. I could see the view of Mt. Yotei. It was so cool.
There was a magic carpet so I didn't have to drag my board up the hill myself. It saved a lot of energy.
.
⚠️ Things to be careful of
There were many classes at the same time in the area. There might be a lot of people. You have to avoid them sometimes.
.
The side of the area has a high slope with only a thin cloth to block it. If you go too fast, you might have to use insurance.
🍛 During lunch break, the restaurant was crowded and the price was quite high (sold in sets according to the time).
✅ A little tip before coming to study, I went to study in Thailand for 1 hour before. It helped a lot!
Because I knew the equipment and basics. When you meet the real thing in Japan, you won't be so dizzy.
💸 #Summary of expenses
- Snowboarding lessons with Go Snow (Join Group) 5.5 hours — 15,000 yen
- Lift Pass Grand Hirafu, Niseko 1 day — 9,500 yen
- Full set of equipment rental fee for 1 day — 19,000 yen (including wool hat, gloves, goggles)
Average 43,500 yen (~9,900 baht)/person
