A 5-minute walk from Gion-Shijo Station on the Keihan Main Line, this restaurant has a modern exterior reminiscent of the ancient capital of Korea, and is located in the charming Gion district along the Shirakawa River.

A new type of restaurant from the popular Kobe-based Korean restaurant "Hanshin DELI", where you can enjoy court cuisine made with ingredients from Kyoto.

You can enjoy a variety of seafood donburi in mini sizes. In addition to the mini bowls, the restaurant offers a variety of delicious dishes, including hiyayakko (cold tofu), Kyoto pickles, sawara dashi (Japanese sawara broth), sansho (Japanese pepper), wasabi, and soy sauce.

・Hamo otoshi bowl
・Tai chazuke (sea bream rice bowl)
・Yuba (soybean skin) bowl
・Kyoto duck loin bowl
・Eel and egg bowl
・Sweet shrimp and crab miso bowl
・Kyoto pork bowl
・Beef shigure bowl

The menu also includes instructions on how to enjoy each bowl. Some bowls have vinegared rice instead of the white rice to match the toppings. The sourness is mild, so it is delicious when topped with sawara dashi.

The Kyoto pork, which has been carefully slow-cooked, is particularly impressive, moist and tender, and the flavor spreads throughout your mouth with every bite.

The sawara dashi is deep, mellow, sharp, and powerfully flavorful. You can pour it over the bowl to make ochazuke, or drink it as is.

The portion was bigger than I expected, but it was so delicious that I ate it all in one go. Apparently, this ochokodon is so popular that there are lines every day in Shibuya, Tokyo. This elegant new lunch, fused with Kyoto cuisine, is sure to become a big hit.
