Kyoto's majestic Golden Pavilion❗️

I went to Kinkakuji in Kyoto!

Kyoto is packed with tourist attractions, but

There's one that's a must-see: Kinkakuji.

I finally made it!

Not Kinkakuji, but Kinkakuji.

Kinkakuji is located inside Rokuonji Temple,

built as a reliquary hall.

It was my first time seeing it since high school,

and it was as gleaming gold as ever,

a very satisfying visit! 😌

However, while I probably saw it back then,

looking at it more closely now as an adult, I realized that even before I found Kinkakuji, there were magnificent buildings, trees, ponds, and gardens.

Perhaps my ability to see things differently is proof that I've become an adult? I wondered as I strolled around, thinking this.

I was also very happy to see the "Ura Kinkakuji" (Back of the Temple).

The gardens were beautifully maintained,

and very relaxing. 😌
