📍Okazaki Shrine/Kyoto

The grounds of Okazaki Shrine, also known as "Rabbit Shrine," are full of rabbits 🐇💗

It is one of the shrines built by Emperor Kanmu on the four sides of Heian-kyo, and is called Totenno because it is located to the east of the capital where the sun rises (the direction of the rabbit) 🌱

The guardian lion rabbits, not lion dogs, that greeted us immediately had adorable expressions and shapes 🫶🏼

And the line of rabbits lined up in front of the main hall are actually containers for fortune slips 👀✨
Fortune slips The sweets themselves were in the rabbit's butt, and they were lined up without taking the container home🐾

The size was indescribably cute🥺🤍

It's said that this shrine has the power to grant good luck in matchmaking, fertility, and safe childbirth⛩

The bus is very convenient to access, and there is a bus stop called "Okayama Shrine Mae"🚏
It was only a few seconds walk from the bus stop👍🏻

I recommend going in the morning so you can take your time taking photos🌿
