[Kyoto/Nanzenji area] Okazaki Shrine

Address: 51 Higashitenno-cho Okazaki, Sakyo-ku, Kyoto

Tourist area: Nanzenji area (east of Kyoto, a little east of Heian Shrine)

Other tourist spots around Okazaki Shrine: Heian Shrine, Nanzenji, Ginkakuji, Philosopher's Path

If you're looking for a cute shrine with rabbits as its motif, then Okazaki Shrine is the place to go!

Instead of the lion-dog guardians that you often find at the entrance to shrines, this shrine has lion-rabbit guardians!

A male Agata Koma rabbit and a female Ungata Koma rabbit welcomed me~

I only took pictures of the female Ungata Koma rabbit🥲

Apparently, stroking the heads of these A-Un Koma rabbits will bring good luck in finding a partner or bringing a happy marriage~

I forgot to stroke them😞😞😞

Rabbits = fertility, so Okazaki Shrine is famous as a god of child-bearing~

I got an increase in my luck with money...

After praying, I drew a rabbit fortune! I got a great fortune for the first time in about three years~

It seems like a lot of people line them up and go home, but I brought them home to use as interior decorations!

It's cute that each one is slightly different in shape🐇💛
