[Going out with your pet] Take a walk around Ogura Pond at the foot of Mt. Ogura

Ogura Pond, located near Torokko Arashiyama Station, is a pond at the foot of Mount Ogura, famous for the Hyakunin Isshu poems. This place is famous for its lotus flowers, and you can enjoy the beautiful lotus flowers from mid-July to late August every year. I visited at the end of September, so I wasn't able to see the lotus flowers, but even just the leaves were beautiful. There weren't many people around, so I was able to take a walk with my pet and enjoy the scenery. Apparently, it used to be famous as a pond where kingfishers would fly in.
