The flower water at Kitano Tenmangu in Kyoto is always gorgeous and beautiful, but this time, the plum blossoms in the shrine grounds are about 80% in full bloom, and the flower water has a plum branch in the middle of the chrysanthemums and various other flowers.

It was a sunny, warm day with mild weather, and the grounds were filled with the faint scent of plum blossoms. The Umezono Plum Garden was open to the public. Even though it was a weekday, there were a lot of people, and I had to get a stamp for my goshuin book, so I got a tag and picked it up later.

Every time I go to Kyoto, I visit Kitano Tenmangu and look around the grounds, but I think the plum season is the most beautiful season at Kitano Tenmangu throughout the year.

The plum blossoms visible through the cow herald the arrival of spring.
