Kitano Tenmangu Shrine is the head shrine of about 12,000 Tenmangu shrines nationwide that worship Sugawara no Michizane (Sugawara no Michizane) as their deity. It is affectionately known to locals as "Kitano's Tenjin-sama" and is widely worshiped as a shrine for praying for entrance exam success, academic success, and protection from misfortune. It seems that the flower water basin decorations were started after a flower water basin tour organized by JR Central in June 2020. They put so much effort into it that they change the flowers every week, so you can always enjoy a beautiful flower water basin.
