I went to Itsukichaya Shimizu Branch, where you can enjoy a meal specializing in seafood in a Kyoto townhouse✨️
This time, I ordered the Winter-only Kyoto Bowl Five-item Tasting Set (4,000 yen)️📝
There is only one menu item, and the contents change with the season✨️
The winter-only set menu includes
Raw shaved bonito flakes bowl
Squid rice
Seafood bowl with snow crab and salmon roe
Oysters and green laver ankake bowl
Dashi ochazuke with yuan-yaki swordfish
Monkfish Kyoto-style white miso hotpot
✔Raw shaved bonito flakes bowl
A fragrant raw shaved bonito flakes topped on the steaming rice cooked in front of you.
On top of that, we pour egg yolk pickled in soy sauce on top 🥚
The rich egg is firmly intertwined with the bonito flakes to create a delicious bowl ☺️
✔ Squid rice
The slowly stewed squid is firm and soft, but also chewy. It goes great with glutinous rice!
It's bite-sized and you can eat it all in one go 💕
✔ Snow crab and salmon roe seafood bowl
A luxurious bowl with snow crab, amberjack, salmon, and shrimp ✨
You can enjoy plenty of seafood!
It's quite filling because it's filled with rice as well.
✔ Oyster and green laver rice bowl
I don't like oysters, so I changed it to scallops 🙏
The delicious flavor of the green laver is mixed in with the creamy texture to create an exquisite dish.
The warm sauce is the perfect dish for winter.
✔ Dashi Chazuke with Yaki Tachiuo Yuan Yaki
The dashi soup for the dashi chazuke got cold, so I regret not eating it first 😢
The fragrant tachiuo and dashi soup made it easy to eat even though I was full!
✔ Monkfish Kyoto-style white miso hotpot
The first time I tried monkfish, the flesh was plump 💕
The white miso soup, typical of Kyoto, was really delicious!
The hotpot was very satisfying with plenty of vegetables.
I ended up drinking all the dashi soup at the end ☺️
The seafood meal was gorgeous and very beautiful ✨️
It was voluminous and filled me up.
I'm interested in the spring version, so I'd like to come again.

It's a two-story restaurant with few seats.
I recommend making a reservation when you go 🙆♀️
They will ask you if you have any allergies or dislikes, so you can rest assured.
