Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine in Kyoto

Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine, also known as the “White Fox Shrine”, is located in Kyoto. It is a Shinto shrine built to honor the god Inari, the god of agriculture that the Japanese have worshipped since ancient times, in order to provide this area with abundant water and quality rice.

It is also a famous shrine for its tens of thousands of red torii gates that line the back of the shrine, stretching from the bottom to the top of the mountain, which is 233 meters high. It would take 2-3 hours to walk through every gate, as the path is steep in some parts.

There are also many other shrines that people bring offerings to along the way.

If you visit Kyoto, you must not miss this shrine.
