Kinkakuji Temple (Ikkyu-san Temple), Kyoto

#Kinkakuji Temple #Kyoto #TravelJapan
I really wanted to visit this temple when I was a teenager in the 90s because I watched the cartoon Ikkyu-san. When they said it was Ikkyu-san Temple, I wanted to follow in their footsteps.
This temple has a lot of trees, it is very natural. When I first entered, it didn't seem like a temple. I didn't see any monks. I walked until I reached the Golden Pavilion, but I still didn't see any Buddha statues. The Golden Pavilion is a popular spot. I quickly found an angle and continued walking. There was a high angle where I could see the top of the pavilion amidst beautiful, colorful trees.
When I passed through, I started to see Buddha statues. I threw coins (I didn't get in at all 😅) and lit incense sticks to worship and make a wish before reaching the exit.
