Hakxiong Valley Family Hiking Guide: Few People, Beautiful Scenery, Zero Cost!

💥 Hidden Tip: The second parking lot is the real treasure starting point!
Drive all the way deep into Shanzha Valley; the further in you go, the more pristine the scenery. The mountain road has eighteen bends but it's worth it! We found a rarely used shaded path for a picnic, the kids collected pine cones and chased butterflies, the dog rolled on the grass and dug in the dirt—perfectly freeing up the parents' hands!
⚠️ Notes:
· The ground is slippery after recent rain, so put non-slip shoes on the kids and a chest harness on the dog to prevent sudden dashes.
· Strong UV and wind on the mountain, apply sunscreen and a windproof hat for the baby, and make sure the dog stays hydrated!
🔥 Secret Bonus:
Barbecuing is clearly prohibited, yet we saw smoke curling in the distance... (actually, some management is lax). If you want to barbecue, it’s recommended to bring a portable stove and use it discreetly~
✅ Advantages:
· Completely free all the way! Much fewer people than Shuimogou, and dogs can run freely (just watch out for pedestrians).
· Exciting mountain driving, a playground for experienced drivers, but bring plastic bags if you get car sick!
❌ Real Complaints:
The barbecue stalls at the parking lot are a disaster! Prices are doubled and the food isn’t cooked properly, better to bring your own meals (see the harsh comparison photos at the end). Trust me, even self-heating meals are better than buying from them!
