Zen temple and bamboo forest trail 🎋

Tenryuji Temple, a Zen temple with such cultural and historical significance that it has been registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This is another popular spot for viewing autumn leaves in Kyoto.

The highlight is the bamboo forest path behind the temple, which is considered the symbol of Arashiyama. The path is about 600 meters long and is shady with green bamboo trees on both sides.

Open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
