Kyoto Ninenzaka (Ninenzaka) Sannenzaka (Sannenzaka)

Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka are slopes on the way to Kiyomizu-dera Temple. They are also called Sannenzaka. They are famous as a tourist spot in Higashiyama, and refer to the slope that leads down the stone steps to the north from Kiyomizu-zaka, which is the approach to Otowa-san Kiyomizu-dera Temple. On both sides of this slope, there are restaurants and souvenir shops with a Kyoto atmosphere, and it is fun to stroll around the shops. I'm sure there are many people who say they enjoy this more than Kiyomizu-dera Temple. Due to COVID-19, there are fewer people than before, making it easier to stroll around.
