Philosopher's Walk, Kyoto

#cherryblossom25
If you want slow, reflective cherry blossom vibes, Philosopher’s Walk is where it's at. I walked this 2-kilometer path early in the morning, coffee in hand, as soft sunlight filtered through blooming sakura. The canal alongside the path was lined with petals, and the occasional breeze sent blossoms drifting down like snow. I found this route through the #cherryblossom25 hashtag and couldn’t resist. It’s not just about the flowers here — the whole path passes by small temples, cozy cafés, and art galleries, so you’re immersed in a peaceful, creative atmosphere. It felt meditative, especially knowing a famous Japanese philosopher used to walk this same route for inspiration. I ended my walk near Ginkaku-ji (the Silver Pavilion), where I sat under a blooming cherry tree with matcha ice cream. This was a very personal and spiritual cherry blossom experience, and one I’ll always link to #cherryblossom25.
