We arrived right after lunch, under the midday sun—and to my surprise, I ran into the same couple from Ningbo I’d met on my first day at Nanatani River’s Path of Softness. What are the odds? It felt like a little stroke of fate. 🌸✨

As the uncle was snapping photos of his wife, he joked that I must have no one to take pictures of me since I was traveling alone. I laughed and told him I brought a tripod—just go with the flow, right? If I get a shot, great; if not, that’s fine too. 😄📷

We ended up exchanging tips on good cherry blossom spots over the past two days. That’s when I found out the sakura at Tsubosaka-dera in Nara were already fading... and I’m only heading there three days from now. Ah well, part of the charm is chasing blossoms on their own schedule. 🌸
