Endless Fun at Nearby Attractions 🎐

There are so many amazing spots near the hotel!

- **Heian Shrine**: Also nearby, built to commemorate the 1,100th anniversary of Kyoto's founding. The shrine's majestic red structures contrast beautifully with lush greenery, making it perfect for photos 📸. Traditional festivals are often held here – you might even catch one if you're lucky!

Hotel Experience – A Detail Lover's Dream 💯

🏨 The hotel lobby blends traditional Japanese aesthetics with modern luxury, featuring high ceilings and exquisite decor that instantly impress. Check-in was smooth, with friendly front desk staff who warmly introduced the hotel's facilities and services.

🛏️ I stayed in a Deluxe View Room, spacious at ~38 sqm (rare for Japan!). The custom Westin Heavenly Bed was ultra-comfy, ensuring great sleep. The room’s Kyoto-inspired design included Kamogawa-style carpets and plum-patterned chairs – details galore! The bathroom had a tub for post-sightseeing soaks, and premium toiletries elevated the experience.

🍽️ Dining was a highlight. Breakfast offered Japanese or buffet options; I chose the latter, with diverse selections from local delicacies to Western pastries and yogurt. The executive lounge’s afternoon tea and happy hour were refined – though not extensive, each item was crafted with care in a tranquil setting, ideal for relaxed chats.

🏊♀️ Facilities were top-notch: indoor/outdoor pools with pristine water (and few guests), plus a natural hot spring spa to melt away fatigue. Don’t miss the hillside garden overlooking Kyoto’s city lights at night – utterly romantic!

Pro Tips 👇

- Use the hotel’s Kyoto Station lounge for luggage storage (they’ll deliver to your room). Same for checkout – no dragging bags around!
- Check shuttle bus schedules at the front desk to avoid delays.
- The gender-segregated onsen requires nudity; research beforehand if unsure.

My stay at The Westin Miyako Kyoto was phenomenal – from location and nearby sights to amenities and service. Highly recommend it for your Kyoto trip!
