【Kyoto】A Botanical Garden Enveloped in Fantastical Light and Sound

I missed this event last year, but hearing that it's being held year-round this time, I couldn't wait to check it out.

Even on rainy days, the greenhouse provides a safe haven, and I was completely absorbed with my camera in hand. Two grown-up ladies giggling and snapping away! While it’s perfect for a romantic date, it’s also a fantastic spot to enjoy with friends.

📍LIGHT CYCLES KYOTO
An interactive night event featuring light and sound by the world-renowned art collective "Moment Factory." The Kyoto Prefectural Botanical Garden transforms into a fantastical space that feels like another world.

📍 Location: Kyoto Prefectural Botanical Garden (Sakyo Ward, Kyoto City / Right near "Kitayama Station" on the subway)
🕐 Event Hours:
・May–August → 7:30 PM–9:30 PM (Last entry at 8:30 PM)
・September–March → 6:00 PM–9:30 PM (Last entry at 8:30 PM)
※ Closed on Mondays (or the following Tuesday if Monday is a holiday)

🎫 Early bird tickets are a great deal!
Regular price: ¥2,500 → Early bird price: ¥1,800. Weekends and summer holidays are expected to be crowded, so advance purchase is recommended.

🍴 The food booths were a bit sparse on the day I visited, which was slightly disappointing 💦
