✓Kyoto Sento Imperial Palace (inside Kyoto Imperial Garden)
Kyoto’s four imperial palaces: Imperial Palace-Kyoto Imperial Palace, Sento Imperial Palace, Katsura Imperial Villa, and Shugakuin Imperial Villa.
It is rare to see a Taiwan travel article specifically introduce these four imperial palaces that require online reservations in advance to enter and visit. (Currently, only the Kyoto Imperial Palace is open for visit without reservations. The other three places require reservations or on-site same-day tickets. The time period will be closed when the number of people is full)
Since the reservation controls the number of people, and there are special people to take you for a guided tour (foreigners are equipped with a guide machine), you can understand the new things in the imperial inner courtyard. This is much better than a quick tour, so foreigners love this kind of itinerary. I have participated in two places so far, and the proportion of Taiwanese people in each group is about 1 in 20 people.
Sento Imperial Palace is located within the vast Kyoto Imperial Garden. Its garden landscape or architecture cannot be called absolutely beautiful, but you can learn about the life trajectory of the royal family through a guided tour. This is different from the ordinary rich people who build gorgeous gardens by themselves. It has more historical significance and Japanese emperor beliefs.
Personally, I recommend it. It takes 1.5 hours to squeeze in the crowded Kiyomizu Temple. It is better to visit here. Kyoto Imperial Garden can be reached by subway, and transportation is even more convenient.
