Located in the north of Kyoto City, Kurama Temple is a mountain temple known for its mystical atmosphere and Tengu legend. Located on the middle slope of Mount Kurama at an altitude of about 410m, it is popular as a power spot where nature and history blend together.
The day we visited was foggy, and it felt like we had wandered into another world. Amid the rustling of the trees, there was an air that made it seem like a Tengu might appear at any moment. The approach from Yuki Shrine to the main hall of the temple is a unique terrain called the Tree Root Path, and just walking there seemed to purify the soul. ✨
The view from the main hall is spectacular, and there is also a spot where you can get a panoramic view of Kyoto city. Kurama Temple is not just a temple, but an experience temple where nature and mystery are in harmony. You can walk quietly alone or experience something out of the ordinary with your partner. It is a hidden gem that is also recommended for tourists from overseas!

📍Access: About 10 minutes walk from Eizan Electric Railway "Kurama Station". About an hour by train from central Kyoto. A great place to visit while enjoying a hike.
