Kyoto's Kōmyō-in Temple and the solace of its moss garden.

Unlike the dazzling Kinkaku-ji or the bustling Kiyomizu-dera, Kōmyō-in Temple offers a different kind of experience. The tranquility of this place greets you first, gifting a sense of peace that feels like it sweeps away the dust from your heart.

The most striking feature was the moss garden. The meticulously maintained moss, the stones placed between them, and the serene sound of water—all of it came together like a beautiful painting. When sunlight fell on the moss, it sparkled as if it were alive.

Sitting quietly on a bench, I spent time without saying a word, learning the true meaning of 'rest' through my body. While it may lack flashy spots for social media, the lingering impression it leaves on your heart is deep and enduring.
