Day 1 – Famous Temples and Shrines
Morning: Arrive in Kyoto, check in at the hotel (recommended to stay near Kyoto Station or Gion).
Noon:
Take bus line 100 or 206 from Kyoto Station → Get off at Gojo-zaka or Kiyomizu-michi stop → Walk up to Kiyomizu-dera (Pure Water Temple).
Stroll along the historic streets of Sannenzaka and Ninenzaka.
Afternoon: Walk or take bus line 100/206 → Visit Gion, the geisha district, and stop by Yasaka Shrine.
Evening: Walk along the Kamo River → Return to the hotel.
Day 2 – Bamboo Forest and Golden Pavilion
Morning:
From Kyoto Station → Take the JR Sagano Line → Get off at Saga-Arashiyama Station → Walk to Arashiyama Bamboo Grove and Togetsukyo Bridge.
Noon: Have lunch around Arashiyama (recommended: Yudofu – Kyoto-style boiled tofu).
Afternoon:
From Saga-Arashiyama → Take the JR Sagano Line → Kyoto Station → Transfer to bus line 101 or 205 → Get off at Kinkaku-ji-michi stop → Walk to Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion).
Evening: Take a bus or train back to the city center → Shop at Nishiki Market or Kawaramachi.
Day 3 – Thousand Torii Gates and Shopping Before Departure
Morning:
From Kyoto Station → Take the JR Nara Line (Local or Rapid) → Get off at Inari Station (in front of Fushimi Inari Taisha) → Walk through the thousands of orange torii gates.
Noon: Return to Kyoto Station → Have ramen at Kyoto Station Ramen Street.
Afternoon: Shop for souvenirs at Kyoto Station or Aeon Mall Kyoto (5-minute walk from the station).
Evening: Depart for your next destination.
